Pearl of Africa Oil & Nut Co. Ltd was founded with a vision: to demonstrate that world-class agriculture is possible in Uganda. Located just 12 kilometers from the equator on the shores of Lake Wamala, our 1,000-acre farm represents one of East Africa's most ambitious agricultural investments.
What began in 2018 with the acquisition of undeveloped land has transformed into a fully integrated agribusiness. We've planted over 50,000 trees across macadamia, avocado, and sandalwood orchards. We've built the infrastructure — solar power, drip irrigation, processing facilities — that turns a farm into an export-ready operation.
Our first exports reached the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom in 2024. Today, we continue to invest in our capabilities, our people, and our commitment to producing premium Ugandan agricultural products for global markets.
